Winter in Armenia
Day 1. Arrival. Meeting at airport. Transfer to hotel in Yerevan.
Day 2. Drive to North part of Armenia. Lori region. First part is passing by Aragatsotn region, where we will have a great view of mount Aragats, Ara, Kasakh river canyon, Spitak pass, etc. The other interesting “world” is Lori region, with Debed river valley and surroundings. Of course, not forgetting famous Haghpat monastery, which is included in UNESCO world heritage.
Overnight in small hotel in Haghpat village.
Day 3. Drive to Dilijan (which we call Armenian Switzerland for it’s beauty). On the way very beautiful foresty landscapes, and very interesting village of molokans (old-believers russian people), called Fioletovo. Overnight in B&B in Dilijan.
Day 4. Drive to Sevan lake, one of the most beautiful places in Armenia whole year around. Visit Sevanavank monastery in Sevan peninsula. Then to Hayravank monastery and Noratus cemetery, with a lot of interesting khachkars and iced beaches of the lake. Then, if Selim pass is open (sometimes, in hard winter weather it’s being closed for couple of days), we are going to Vayots Dzor region. Overnight in cotteges in Hermon village, situated in Yeghegis river valley. If the pass is closed, will be
little long turn via Yerevan, and we will get there in the night.
Day 5. Exploring Vayots Dzor region. In the morning we will try to see Bezoar goats from special view point, then continue to Arpa river gorge, Gndevank monastery, some mountain roads, and finally we get to famous spa-town called Jermuk. Tiny, beautiful, interesting town with amazing Arpa gorge and small
waterfall. Overnight in hotel in Jermuk.
Day 6. Moving to the most southern region of Armenia, called Syunik (or Zangezur)- one of the most beautiful mountainous
areas in Armenia. Visit and shooting Tatev monastery and Vorotan canyon, Spandaryan reservoir with it’s beautiful beaches and
finally, by the old broken road we reach to Kapan city. Overnight in hotel in Kapan.
Day 7. Visiting Vahanavank monastery, hidden in the forests, then back to Goris via road part called Tas, very beautiful serpentine road, passing through Vorotan canyon.Sightseeing in Goris area, by visiting famous cave village Khndzoresk, with hanging bridge.

Day 8. Drive back to Yerevan. On the way back visit the oldest observatory Zorats Karer (7000 years b.c.), wine factory with wine degustation, Noravank monastery, and some interesting shooting in Ararat valley depends on the weather of course. Free evening in Yerevan. Overnight in hotel in Yerevan.
Visiting one of the main touristic attractions in Armenia, the only pegan temple in Armenia called Garni and rock-cut monastery Geghard (UNESCO). Also drive down with Jeeps to Azat river gorge, to shoot Stone Symphony. Back to Yerevan. Short city tour and overnight in hotel in Yerevan.
Day 10. Transfer to airport. Departure.
